Facilities Caretaker (Part-time)

Keeping the office, training center, and missionary guesthouse organized and working well. Involves weekly organizing, minor maintenance tasks, and set-up of tables and chairs and some heavy lifting. 2 to 5 hours a week, $12/hr

Communications Coordinator (Part-time)

Range of communications and administrative activities, from coordinating ministry newsletters and social media postings, to writing thank-you cards to ministry partners, and assisting the Executive Director in correspondence, contact management and event planning. 15 to 30 hours a week, $15/hr

Sales and Follow-Up (Full or Part-time)

We are looking for an outgoing people-person who has a passion to help others. While this is a sales oriented job description, we are not attempting to push our resources, but discover ministry partners we can serve. This roles entails calling churches, mission agencies, and college ministries who are current or potential users of CMM resources and publications. Applicants need to be familiar with Excel and adept with online technologies.  15 to 40 hours a week, $15/hr

  • Bachelor or masters degree in accounting or related subject preferred.

CMM Pastor- to- Missionary (PTM)

PTM provide pastoral equipping and care to CMM (goers/mobilizers/staff)  and as members of the member care team will contribute toward the stated purpose: forging a healthy culture and developing a structure that empowers teams and staff to thrive in sustainable and effective ministry.

Preferred Traits
  • Have had cross-cultural experience
  • Have had significant experience in ministry- either as pastor or as missionary
  • Willing to commit to a minimum of 5 years of service in the role
  • Serves in the role as a couple
  • Empty-nesters
Character

The PTM must have significant ministry experience, and preferably some cross-cultural experience, in order to have credibility with missionaries. They must be spiritually mature, flexible and approachable, in good physical health. They must be “learners”, not “experts”. They must be “generalists”, not “specialists”.

The PTM must be fully committed to the vision and goal of CMM, and be affirmers of the organization and its leadership.

The PTM position requires giftedness and ability in the areas of both equipping and care. The role involves providing direct shepherding and care, as well as training individuals and groups through seminars related to missionary health, growth, and effectiveness.

Ministry Responsibilities
  • Provide pastoral care to CMM missionaries, offering prayer support, encouragement and counsel
  • Participate as needed in debriefings and pre-field training
  • Attend member care meetings twice yearly
  • Report monthly to the director of the member care team
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality
  • Works with member care director and team leader for solutions to problems encountered; does not make decisions regarding the missionary without consultation
  • Visit regularly on the field or stateside with the missionaries-preferably twice per year face-to-face
  • Maintain contact with missionary through email or calls; stay current with issues the missionary is facing
  • Attends area conferences and endeavors to meet individually with missionaries
  • Provide resources as needed by missionaries
  • Proactively build a personal “toolbox” of seminars and /or resources to help the missionary be equipped and effective
  • Equip and encourage missionary communities to nurture and care for themselves and for one another
  • Potentially represent CMM through speaking engagements in local churches; help the church know how to care for its missionaries
Resourcing
  • Must raise own support and ministry expenses
  • Will receive training from the member care director
  • Should endeavor to attend at least one member care training event or conference per year in order to keep up-to-date on member care trends and resources.

TCK (Third Culture Kid) Specialist

Full or Part Time 

Qualifications
  • A calling and passion to work with Third Culture Kids and their parents to the glory of God
  • Minimum requirement: High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate of Perspectives class preferred
  • Have had at least 1 year of personal discipleship 
  • 2 years or more of relevant experience is preferred
  • References from church pastor, discipleship leader, bible study leader/spiritual mentor, church youth/college leader, previous employers
Responsibilities/ Commitment to: 
  • Raising support
  • Attending annual MK Caregivers summit
  • Regular communication with parents of TCKs (>1/mo)
  • Help create and run TCK programs for MLT and Family Gathering/ CMM events
  • Possible travel for Rest 2 Run Retreats to run TCK program 
  • Facilitate CMM celebration of Graduations
  • Network in an active way with others about ministering to TCKs
  • Build a network of others working within TCK ministry
  • Weekly meeting and 5 R coaching with Member Care Director
